Ilitch Gaming has finalized the purchase of the remaining 50 percent stake in Ocean Casino Resort, located in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The transaction brings the company’s total ownership of the property to 100 percent.
Transaction Details and Facility Overview
The acquisition was first announced in June 2026. Ilitch Gaming originally purchased the initial 50 percent share in 2021. The new division was established in June to manage the organization’s gaming-related businesses and support future growth initiatives.
Ocean Casino Resort occupies over 20 acres along the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The facility includes 1,860 renovated guest rooms and suites, a 135,000-square-foot casino floor, a 4,500-seat entertainment venue, and more than 160,000 square feet of meeting and convention space.
John Policicchio, CEO and Chief Development Officer of Ilitch Gaming, stated that the resort has become a significant destination through sustained investment and colleague dedication. He noted that Atlantic City remains a critical gaming market and that full ownership represents a key milestone for the company.
Ilitch Gaming currently oversees MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, Michigan. Additionally, the company announced an agreement in June for an affiliate to acquire Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville, Mississippi, subject to regulatory approvals.
